Coffee continues to show in studies that it offers many benefits to the human body. The key appears to be the chemical compounds and scientists are narrowing down those that play a role in reducing prostate cancer. A recent study involved focusing on two compounds found in Arabica coffee. These compounds were initially shown to reduce the spread of prostate cancer in lab samples as well as with mice. Additional testing is needed on humans, but it looks promising.

- When added to a Petri dish with Prostate Cancer two compounds in Arabica coffee made cancer grow slower.
- If you are going to consume coffee it is healthiest to drink it black and not add sugar or creamer to it.
- Doing experiments in Mice also slowed the tumors from growing but did not stop them altogether.
“Additional research on human cells is required to replicate the results and better understand the benefits of coffee compounds on prostate cancer cells.”
